The Marvelous Maltesers is a modern fable about transformation, appetite, and power. Set against surreal desert backdrops and painted horizons, the story follows a woman who refuses everything offered to her, except chocolate. That choice sparks change.

Ekene Okonkwo’s photography is bold and theatrical, with saturated skies, sculptural poses, and heroic framing that elevates everyday indulgence into iconography. The red swimsuit becomes armour, the desert becomes a stage, and the body becomes a monument.

Virginia Chime’s text moves lightly through the story, showing how small choices, simple pleasures and personal desire shape the narrative.

Printed at 190 × 235 mm, the book is 36 pages. It feels like a pocket-sized epic, part fashion editorial, part myth, part confectionery fever dream.
